Antoine Jean Victor Martin de Moussy of ( 1810 – 1869) was a French naturalist, author of the book: Description G ographique et Statistique of the Argentine Confederation (1860-1864) with a major Atlas (1869) and double-page map physical political of the Argentine provinces and territories. Published in three volumes. with a volume of the atlas: the title-page lithography, 2 FF., 20 pp., 29 double page maps, geological plans and elevations. Paris: Didot, 1860-1864.
Moussy, studied medicine in Paris in 1835. Traveled to Rio de Janeiro in 1841, and from there to Montevideo where he led the legion of the French hospital and taught courses at the Universidad de la Republica. In the Uruguayan capital, founded the Society of Medicine of Montevideo. Moussy was used by President General Justo Jos de Urquiza of Argentina going to Parana in 1854 as a geographer on an expedition of exploration territory of Argentina.
